UNIFORM
The correct uniform for Meifu Shinkage-ryu practice is a dark blue Keikogi jacket with black Hakama. The Keikogi may be plain or may have the appropriate Meifu Shinkage-ryu embroidery in gold. The student may choose to also wear a Kaku Obi and Tabi (the soft-soled indoor variety).
Because we accept that the above uniform can be expensive for beginners, it is also permissible to wear a plain white Karate style uniform with a white belt.
TRAINING WEAPONS
All weapons used in training must be obtained only from sources authorised by the Meifu Shinkage-ryu. Weapons from other sources are not authorised and will not be allowed in practice.
Members of the Meifu Shinkage-ryu Wrexham Keikokai are expected to act in accordance with all UK laws regarding the possession and carriage of weapons. Any member acting contrary to those laws will be excluded from practice.
